In 10 days: - I made $4,115 gross profit - made $3,751.14 net profit - sold 12 paintings and prints - had 65 people contribute - had 65 people get in on the adventure with "Sketches from the Road" Rock on. Now this isn't over just yet. I've got a long ways to go - I still have to raise the money … [Read more...] about Have you ever seen a painter dance?
Here's the part of dreams coming true that no one ever warns you about: Oh. My. Gawd. Is it ever terrifying. Two weeks ago, I wasn't sure I was going to make my rent. Now I'm just $870 short of paying my $3500 tuition. I'm more than 75% there, thanks to so much generosity and support. Don't get me wrong - I am overjoyed. But I don't … [Read more...] about The Sunday Hug: The Difficulty of Dreams
Me, as it turns out. When Natalie Peluso did Fearless Karaoke back in July, I loved it and wished I'd noticed it was happening so I could have participated. (I was in a creative bubble at the time. Not much gets through.) Anyways, I've been singing a lot and thinking about singing a lot and thinking about singing (good gawd) publicly a … [Read more...] about What do karaoke, postcards & France all have in common?
Lovely, lovely people, I am so pleased to say that I have already passed the halfway mark in raising my tuition money to France. HALF WAY! The "Dreams Can Come True" fundraiser … [Read more...] about 6 Days: Can you help me get to France?
I woke up this morning, and immediately started talking myself down. I knew I was finding out on Wednesday whether the studio program in France had accepted me or not. I wanted to feel good either way. I spent a whole hour telling myself that it wasn't the end of the world if I didn't get in, I could apply again and I'd come up with other … [Read more...] about France, here I come baby!

I can't believe I finished it. Even more shockingly, I was quite pleased with it. I managed to shut up my own internal critic long en0ugh to actually be … [Read more...] about The Sunday Hug: Hey look, I accomplished stuff!
25 days until I send my application to Studio Escalier in France. 25 days to finish 6 I-tried-my-very-bestest paintings. I think it has just sunk in that, maybe, on May 15th 2011, I'll be getting on a plane and heading to France to paint for 3 months straight, 6 hours a day. Whoa. Whooaaaaa. I think I just blew my own mind. Edit - … [Read more...] about 25 Days.

Happy 301st blog post to me! That really did sneak up on me. I think there should be a party of some kind, but I've got a cold, so it looks like I'll be partying in bed. I actually don't mind though. Sometimes it's nice to curl up in bed with cups of tea, hang out on Twitter and write a post here. Besides it's raining outside and there's a European … [Read more...] about A tentative plan.
