T-minus 38 days: Get my art on the cheap

So because I’m moving, and because I need extra money and because I don’t really want to have to move piles of art 1800 kms, there’s going to be some sale stuff going on for the next month. For the next few weeks, it’s going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity – the ability to get some of my art on the cheap. (Or maybe even free!)

So here’s what’s going on

1. A raffle!

Everyone loves cards and note cards right? Especially cards and note cards that fit in frames that you can keep. Good for you, good for the environment! (Less waste.)

But you know what you’ll love even more? Being able to buy yourself some beautiful cards and note cards and being entered into a raffle to win a free painting. Heck yes.

There are absolutely no details right now, but as soon as there are some, I will let you know. But I promise it won’t be too expensive – like $15.00 for 5 note cards, or $15.00 for three 5×7 cards or something. I dunno yet. But then you’ll automatically be entered to win this painting:

River Dee II, © Sarah Marie Lacy. 11"x14" acrylic on canvas.

River Dee II, © Sarah Marie Lacy. 11"x14" acrylic on canvas. $400.00

Yep, that’s right – a $400.00 value. For free. You just have to buy some cards or note cards, which will be up soon.

An Art Garage Sale/Moving Sale

I’ve mentioned this before, but I haven’t had the chance to put it together yet. I have mountains of art sitting around in the form of sketches, small paintings, doodles, and lord only knows what else, that’s just never made it onto the site. I don’t especially feel like moving it all 1800 kms, but my parents don’t exactly want it sitting around cluttering up their house either.

So it’s got to go somewhere, and it might as well go to you guys!

Nothing will be above $200 USD, and most of it will probably range in the $50-$75 area. This is really a great opportunity to get some of my original art at affordable prices. It’s not something I can do very often because hey, a girl needs to make a profit. But right now, the thought of packing and moving it all makes me want to cry. So please buy it? :)

There may be some more stuff

But it’s secret, and for my mailing list only. Unless of course, you’re on my mailing list and then you’re going to be getting some sweet opportunities, like:

- getting first dibs on limited edition prints of the nudes

- the chance to win a limited edition print from the nude show

- maybe even discounts on some of the art on my site, if everyone is really, really nice to me (but really, when are you guys not nice to me?)

Because I know you really want to get on my mailing list so you can get in on these awesome opportunities, so here’s a sign up form for you.

That’s all for me for today, for now I’ve got to go back to painting and get these pieces done! (The second one is coming along wonderfully – I can’t wait to show you guys!)

Update: Unfortunately, it won’t be possible to offer the nudes at a discount, due to contractual obligations. Non-corporate version: the legal schtuffs say that I can’t do it. Sorry, guys. I’m just as disappointed as you are. :(

Welcome to one artist's odyssey

On May 21st, I'm going on a quest. A quest for art, for meaning, for beauty, for truth. I'm picking up my life, packing up a suitcase and heading to rural France to live, paint and study art for the next 18 months.

Click here to find out how you can stowaway in my suitcase and join in the adventure!

It is too bad you have to move and part with some of your work and noone around you would gladfuly take it. I am interested in the beautiful River Dee II at the top but I am confused. In order to receive the prine (free?) I need to purchase some notecards? Please let me knoe about this and any other opportunites you might have for your work. I really enjoy the nature or more natural scenes. I wish you the best in your move and hope to hear from you, when you have time, I know.
