The last 12 hours have been insane.

It’s like life has been sitting around, in this holding position for weeks, months even, and now all of a sudden, it’s moving and moving quickly.

I actually had to walk away from writing this half way through because I needed an hour or so to just calm myself and bring me back down to earth. Thank god for Havi’s Emergency Calming Techniques.

Omg, I have an apartment!

So yesterday I emailed someone about an apartment, and 40 minutes ago, I called and put down a security deposit.

I have my own place.

Omg, I have my own place. I think I’ll be repeating that all day long, just to let it sink in. I have my own place. I have my own place.

I’m moving out!

I’m moving to Prince Edward Island! It’s an apartment in the heart of downtown, in a security building which is nice, with laundry inside so even in the middle of winter I can do laundry without getting cold. It’s a really well taken care of building and my future landlord is ridiculously nice.

Mind you, I was so completely freaked out last night that while talking to Jesse I just burst into tears for no apparent reason, but still I’m happy. This is such a huge thing. It’s my declaration of independence. It’s my escape route.

Art show!

Right, so remember how a really, really long time ago I was going to have that nude show with a friend of mine?

Well everything kind of fell through for a while, and I was pretty sure that it wasn’t going to happen, and that it was just one of those dreams that isn’t meant to be. This morning, I got an email from him telling me that we’re ready to roll.

The show will go on!

I’m excited, but also having a moment of, OMG DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO HAPPEN AT ONCE!?!

Hence the taking a break half way through writing this and just needing to calm the heck down. But I’m feeling much better now, thanks for asking.
