Hilbre Island

Hilbre Island sits at the mouth of the River Dee and when the tide is out, you can walk out to the island.

However, walker beware – several people drown each year by underestimating just how fast that tide comes back in.

I’ve never walked out there, but I really want to. There are seals that live on the other side.
