Everyone, thank you so much for all of your kind words yesterday. So much wisdom, so much generosity, so much support and love and goodness. You guys rock my world.
But things haven’t been so good in Hannah’s world the last week. Her boyfriend lost his job. Money that was supposed to be set aside by family members to pay for her school was spent instead. She’s currently facing a whole world of financial troubles.
So even though Hannah’s dance classes are paid for (we’re mailing the form today!), there is absolutely no way she can afford to buy the stuff that she needs for it. And unfortunately for most dance shoes, you need to buy them new because they have to form to your foot exactly. Especially pointe shoes.
We only need 11 more people to donate $20. That’s it. We’re looking to raise about $200ish to make sure everything is covered.
Even if you only feel like you can send $5, every little bit is going to help.
Or, if you feel so inclined, I’m offering prints of my painting “Ballet Shoes” and donating the proceeds to Hannah:
Some of you may remember my painting, “Ballet Shoes”. It’s been sold for years, and is no longer on the site, but I can make prints of it. (I know some of you have been wanting that!)
The print will be a signed 11”x14” (with border, size is 13”x16”) archival giclee print on Hahnemeule William Turner watercolor paper (trust me when I say, it’s delicious). It is archival, it is top quality, and if well taken care of, will last up t0 100 years. Yes, it costs more than a poster but that’s because it is so much more than a poster.
The print retails for $120 USD + $20 shipping anywhere in the world.
If you’d like to read about why I’m helping Hannah go back to dance, you can read all about it here.
We are almost there. We can so do this. This is the final push to get the rest of the way there. Anything you can do to help is going to be super appreciated.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Welcome to one artist's odyssey
On May 21st, I'm going on a quest. A quest for art, for meaning, for beauty, for truth. I'm picking up my life, packing up a suitcase and heading to rural France to live, paint and study art for the next 18 months.
Click here to find out how you can stowaway in my suitcase and join in the adventure!
