A painting bonanza!

I am so tired, I’m about to fall over. I’m barely stringing together coherent sentences anymore.

But I did it. The 6 paintings are finished and delivered to the Pilar Shephard Gallery.

And for your enjoyment, here they are:

Grassy Cliffs, North Shore Prince Edward Island © Sarah Marie Lacy 2010

Sunset on the North Shore © Sarah Marie Lacy

Sunset on the North Shore © Sarah Marie Lacy. Oil on canvas, 18"x24"

Most of these titles were made up while I wrote this (see “Untitled Seascape”). If you’ve got better titles though, I’m open to hearing them. I won’t necessarily use them, but all reasonable suggestions will be taken into consideration!

For now though, I’m going to collapse, drink lots of tea, watch lots of movies, eat Neapolitan ice cream and mostly pretend that the outside world does not exist. Perhaps some doodling will happen. I may also continue to ignore the gigantic pile of dishes slowly taking over my kitchen. We’ve lost the kitchen counter, and it’s starting to make moves on the table.

Enjoy the paintings! And if you’re interested in purchasing them, contact the Pilar Shephard Gallery.

I can’t decide which one is my favorite. I absolutely love the beach in the second last one, but for some reason my favorite clouds are in the previous one. On the other hand, my favorite sea is in the first one, while #3 has the loveliest atmosphere. I like them all a lot, #2 is probably my least favorite simply because it’s so monochromatic. But I guess it’s not fair to look paintings like this based on a very small picture!

Can’t really think of any names, sorry.

These are beautiful. Congratulations!!! I think we’ve all been thinking a lot about the ocean lately, and seeing these it’s hard not to feel a bit sad and nostalgic for the days when the ocean was purely the ocean, and we didn’t have to worry about what toxic substance was on its surface, or beneath it. I’m appreciating the “Windmills” painting you gave me even more.

Congrats, Sarah! They are all stunning, as usual.

For “Untitled Seascape #1″ the word that jumped into my head was Ominous.

    Good luck with the show.
